is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a fellow
of the Royal College of Surgeons with specialist certification in
Ophthalmology. A member of the American Society of Cataract and
Refractive Surgeons and the American Academy of Ophthalmology, he
has trained other eye surgeons in performing LASIK and PRK procedures.

Dr. Richard Rothman - Performing LASIK Laser Eye Surgery in Las Vegas, Nevada
Dr.
Rothman is experienced, or certified, on virtually all major FDA-approved
excimer laser systems in use today, including three laser systems
with the most advanced state-of-the-art eye tracking technologies
available. Dr. Rothman has performed over 18,000 laser vision correction
procedures, 95% of which are LASIK. This level of experience places
Dr. Rothman in the company of a very small group of the most highly
experienced refractive surgeons in the United States. Prior to his career in ophthalmology, Dr. Rothman's professional background also included experience in a variety of practice settings including both emergency medicine and family practice. His undergraduate degree in the Biological Sciences was obtained at Northwestern University in Chicago. Dr. Rothman was born and raised in New York and his outside interests include travel, guitar, and historical literature. Dr. Rothman performs LASIK at the Las Vegas, Nevada Laser Eye Center.

Prior to co-founding King and Mockovak LASIK Center, Dr.
Joseph King served as Medical Director of LASIK Vision
San Diego and Restore Vision Centers. While performing refractive
surgery in Canada from 1997-2000, Dr. King performed thousands of
LASIK procedures in Vancouver, British Columbia, and Edmonton and
Calgary, Alberta, utilizing the same advanced Bausch and Lomb laser
technology recently approved for use in the USA and now offered
at King and Mockovak LASIK Center.
Dr. Michael Mockovak is a graduate of Yale University
Medical School. He completed his internship at Illinois Masonic
Hospital and his residency in Ophthalmology at the University of
Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary, both located in Chicago. Dr. Mockovak
completed his LASIK training at the Phillips Eye Institute. He received
further specialized training at the Casebeer Eye Institute. Dr.
Mockovak has been a US FDA co-investigator in refractive surgery
techniques and has performed over 6,000 laser eye surgeries.
Dr.
Richard Rothman began his career in medicine in 1978 and
later developed an expertise in refractive surgery and surgical
instrument design while a research fellow at the Eye Research Institute,
Harvard Medical School in 1986.
